The Rock Ministerial Fellowship (RMF) is a vibrant and diverse family comprised of churches, ministries, international outreaches & missions, pastors, and ministers working together through individual and joint efforts to reach the hurting and lost with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. RMF functions under apostolic authority and is dedicated to upholding and strengthening the hands of those in ministry. Through peer relationships, retreats, and resource materials, we seek to encourage and equip members to fulfill their prophetic destiny and purpose. We believe in apostolic authority, the five-fold ministry, the restoration of the church, the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We invite you to prayerfully consider being a part of the RMF family.

RMF provides apostolic covering and a means of accountability to local churches, ministers, and ministries in which isolated ministers may experience defined relationships with others of a like mind while providing them with a larger identity.

  • To form apostolic teams that will reach out to the nations of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • To help strengthen and edify all members of RMF and their ministries through sponsoring seminars, conferences, and special gatherings where present truth can be pursued, encouraged, examined and judged in the light of Scripture.
  • To foster a deeper relationship and spiritual growth among fellow members.

RMF desires to encourage and equip members to be strong in the prophetic, teaching, preaching, and in evangelism.

RMF was founded by Bishops John and Anne Gimenez in the 1970’s.  As pastors of the Rock Church International in Virginia Beach, Virginia, John and Anne Gimenez, began to receive calls to plant churches in their surrounding area. As churches sprang up, there was a need for fellowship and mentoring. Monthly meetings were started for these local “Rock” pastors, and soon grew to include many other ministers wanting covering and fellowship. In the mid ‘80s, many pastors began to affectionately call RMF the “Rock Ministerial Family” to more accurately reflect the strength of the covenant relationship between its members. RMF has established over 700+ churches to date, and continues to seek out fertile ground to plant new churches, outreaches and ministries, as well as providing oversight and mentorship to those seeking an apostolic covering.

We believe in the plenary verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the scriptures as originally given. (II Tim 3:16; I Cor 2:13)

We believe in the eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Matt 28:19; II Cor 13:14)

We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as reported in Genesis; His total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isa 7:14, 9:6)

We believe Christ died for our sins; was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (I Cor 15:1-4; Rom 4:25)

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the church. (John 14:21,23; I Thes 4:13-18)

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Eph 2:8-9; Heb 9:12; Rom 5:11)

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Godhead, in order to fulfill the command of Christ. (Matt 28:19; Acts 2:34-39, 10:47-48, 19:1-6)

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation with the spiritual evidence, namely, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46; Gal 3:14-15)

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in I Corinthians 12:1-14 and as manifested in the Early Church.

We believe in the spirit filled life, a life of separation from the world and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of the Christian faith. (Eph 5:8; II Cor 6:14, 7:11)

We believe in the healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing and it’s varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church. (Acts 4:30; Rom 8:11; I Cor 12:9; James 5:14-15)

We believe in Communion or the Lord’s Supper for believers. (I Cor 11:23-32)

We believe in eternal life for believers (John 3:16, 5:24) and eternal punishment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-48; II Thes 1:9; Rev 20:10-15)

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan and eternal judgment of Satan and his angels (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:10-15).

We believe that the biblical form of church government is theocratic, consisting of a senior minister under apostolic authority, who qualifies on the basis of the call of God, spiritual life, domestic life, character, and ability to rule, along with plurality of eldership. (I Tim 3)

We believe that marriage, as intended by God, the Father, exists only between a man and woman.

We also hold to these basic fundamentals that:

The church of Jesus Christ is the instrument that God is using to extend His kingdom prior to the second coming of Christ. (Eph 1:20-22, 3:10; Matt 16:18)

The local church is self-governing, self-supporting, and self propagating, amenable and accountable only to the apostolic authority of the Bishop/President.

Every believer in Christ must be subject to God’s authority in a specific local church for spiritual protection and long term fruitfulness. (Heb 13:17)

RMF is comprised of three membership categories: Charter churches, Affiliate churches, and parachurch ministries.

A Charter Church is a member that has been planted by RMF, or has joined the fellowship and agrees to submit to all the requirements set forth in the RMF bylaws and Constitution and contain the name “Rock” in their ministry name.

An Affiliate Church desires apostolic covering and affiliation with the RMF family while maintaining their independent  bylaws, constitution and unique ministry name.
